Upgrade or update

You can either update your licence or update your software.

Upgrade your licence

All RESOURCE software comes with a unique serial number that holds your licence details. This number is on the Licence Agreement and is in the software:

Run your currently installed edition. As the program launches, version details are on the Splash screen. You can also press CONTROL + F1 from the Title screen.
If you can't find a version number, please call us for further help.

You can add more licences at any time. Use the licence calculator on your program's information page. Just work out the difference between the cost of your current licence and the cost of the licence you would like. When you order, we'll send you a new serial number. Type this number into each installation of the software (press CONTROL + F1 from the Title screen) and your licence details will be updated automatically.

Update your software

You can always find the version number of RESOURCE software:

On this website, click the Download button for any programs. This will take you to an information page with details of the version that can be installed.

We update our software at two levels and all our software editions are numbered. The digit before the decimal point shows the major update version and the numbers after the point indicate the minor improvements.

1	Minor improvements. These are either fixes for glitches that we or a user have spotted, or we've decided to improve a feature or two. You might never notice the difference, or it may be a feature that's been added to make your life easier. You may freely update your current version to the new: just uninstall what you have and install the new edition. You can use your existing serial number.
2	Major updates. These are substantial reconstructions, perhaps even complete rewrites and we increase the first part of the version number. There is always a half-price upgrade path if you have any earlier version and you will need a new serial number.
