Making a Wordlist

Shannon's Game title screenOpen the Shannon's Game Editor (either from Start > All Programs > Resource > Shannons Game or by pressing CONTROL + F2 while Shannon's Game is running).

Right-click in the Wordlist pane and choose New wordlist.

Starting the searchThis will be a wordlist on the main menu. It could have been in a folder with the class's name on it, but here it will be available for everyone. Silent letters.txt is the name of the file.

The first good suggestionSilent letters is also the internal name – the one that appears on the menu screen. The MFL department also use this program so Spanish (es) and French (fr) Master lists have been installed. We're making this list in English, so we'll stick to uk.

If we really wanted to give them a test, we'd click Last to first and make them spell the words backwards.

Not the gThe words could be typed in one at a time, but this list was prepared earlier and was pasted in from Word.

Click anything else and you can save this list. Any words that are not in the Master Wordlist are added automatically.

Job done.
